Q: How do I register as a worker?
Fill out the form on this page to start! After email confirmation, complete your profile, set your availability, and upload your required documents.
Q: What documents do I need to upload?
We’ll ask you for:
Proof of ID (passport or driving licence)
Right to Work documents (e.g. share code or visa)
CSCS card (if required for your trade)
UTR number (for CIS payment)
Insurance details (if applicable)
Q: How do I get booked for work?
Once your profile is approved and you’ve submitted your documents, you’ll start appearing in search results for employers. If they book you, you’ll receive a notification via email and/or text.
Q: Can I accept or decline a job?
Yes. You’ll be notified before every booking, and you can accept or decline if you’re unavailable.
Q: How can I set my availability?
In your dashboard, you can update the days and times you’re free to work. On booking, you should also let the Employer know if there are days you are not available.
Q: How do I submit my timesheets?
Go to Dashboard > Timesheets, select the booking or project, enter your hours, and submit. You’ll be paid based on the approved hours.
Q: When will I get paid?
Payments are usually processed weekly on Fridays, once your timesheets are approved by the employer for the previous week. Delays may occur if your timesheet is submitted late or incomplete.
Q: How am I paid?
You are paid as a self-employed subcontractor under CIS (Construction Industry Scheme). CIS tax (usually 20%) is deducted and reported to HMRC. You’ll receive a payslip showing the gross and net amount.
Q: Why do I need to complete a KYC check?
KYC (Know Your Customer) helps us verify your identity and your legal right to work. It also helps employers feel confident about hiring you. You won’t be bookable until your KYC documents are submitted and approved.
Q: How do I know if I’m compliant?
Go to My Profile > Compliance — you’ll see a checklist of what’s missing or approved.
Q: Can I update my documents later?
Yes. Just go to your profile and upload any new or updated documents as needed.
Q: What if there’s a problem with my pay or booking?
Reach out to us via Live Chat, email support@crew2go.co.uk.
Q: Can I contact the employer directly?
Yes. Once you’ve been booked, you’ll receive site details and contact info for the employer or site manager.
Q: What happens if an employer blacklists me?
You won’t appear in searches for that employer again, but other employers can still book you. If you feel it was unfair, contact us to review it.
Q: Can I deactivate my account?
Yes. Once you’ve been booked, you’ll receive site details and contact info for the employer or site manager.Yes. You can request account deletion by contacting support. If you plan to return later, we can temporarily deactivate instead.
Q: Do I need to pay anything to use CREW2GO?
No. The platform is completely free for workers. We earn from the employers, not from your wages.
Q: Do I need insurance?
It depends on the site or trade. We recommend having it, especially if you’re a specialist. You’ll be asked during registration if you hold insurance.
